📌 Dual-Energy Incentives for Smart Heating Transitions
This program helps commercial and institutional buildings partially electrify their heating systems by integrating high-efficiency electric solutions (like heat pumps) while maintaining a natural gas or biomass backup. The result: energy savings, emissions reductions, and peak demand control — with funding to support it.
💰 Financial Assistance
Choose from two paths:
- Simplified Path
- Pre-approved equipment list
- Flat-rate grants based on installed units
- Custom Path (Sur-mesure)
- Up to $150,000 per project
- Up to $250,000 per site
- Based on either:
- Predicted energy savings
- Incremental cost vs. standard system
🧩 Who Qualifies?
- Commercial or institutional buildings in Québec
- Existing heating systems using natural gas or oil
- Projects must include electric equipment (e.g., heat pumps) plus a gas backup
- Pre-approval required
- Biomass systems, smart controls, and thermal storage may be eligible
- Standalone heat pumps (without dual-energy integration) are not eligible
🛠️ How We Help
Our team offers complete support from feasibility to funding:
✅ System design to ensure dual-energy eligibility
✅ Energy modeling or cost comparison to choose optimal path
✅ File preparation and coordination with Énergir and Hydro Québec
✅ Post-install reporting for compliance and grant release
🧷 Can Be Combined With
- Volet Analyse – to evaluate baseline and dual-energy potential
- Volet Implantation (Simplifiée or Sur mesure) – for broader retrofit coverage
- Hydro-Québec and Énergir retrofit incentives
- Federal programs for electrification and fuel switching
🚫 Not Stackable With
- Other ÉcoPerformance implementation volets for the same equipment/site
- Incentives from other programs that already subsidize the same equipment
- General electric heating upgrades outside the dual-energy framework
