Novoclimat is Québec’s flagship energy efficiency certification program for new residential construction. It promotes high-performance building envelopes, ventilation, and heating systems that exceed code requirements.

💰 Financial Assistance

• $3,000 for the buyer of a certified single-family home
• $2,000 per unit for builders of small multi-unit buildings (max 3 stories and 600 m² per floor)
• +$1,000 bonus for installation of an eligible heat recovery ventilator (HRV)

🏠 Who Qualifies?

• New construction only (not applicable to renovations)
• Single-family homes or small MURBs (≤ 10 units)
• Must be 20% more energy-efficient than code (NBC/NECB)
• Built by a Novoclimat-certified contractor and inspected by a recognized evaluator

• Canada Greener Homes programs (which apply only to existing homes)
